e sognavo che la vita
non era che gioia.
e vidi che la vita
non era che servizio.
e compresi
che nel servizio era la gioia
I want to offer you a meditation by the writer,poet and Indian philosopher, Rabindranath Tagore ( 1861-1941)
I once went to sleep and dreamed that life was nothing but joy.
I woke up and realized that life was nothing but service.
I served and understood that in service there was joy.
Proprio nel Vangelo di questa domenica (XXIX anno B) Gesù già proponeva la Sua carta "costituzionale" alla quale l'umanità tutta deve aderire: ognuno deve essere servitore di tutti.
"...chi vuol essere grande tra voi si farà vostro servitore, e chi vuol essere il primo tra voi sarà il servo di tutti."
In this Sunday's Gospel ( XXIX,jear B) we learned how Jesus had already proposed His "constitution" that all humanity must adhere to:
"...Whoever among you wants to be great must be the servant of the others, and whoever wants to be first among you must be the servant of all
