Intanto, se entrambi ci possono rendere peggiori, costituiscono un invito a perfezionarci. Ma é sempre l'anima che conta di più.
Qualche volta é vero, le sofferenze fisiche inaridiscono il cuore, avvelenano l'anima e trascinano il decadimento progressivo di tutte le energie.
Allora, se il cuore non sorregge e l'anima non reagisce, la sofferenza fisica é la peggiore.
Ma quando l'anima é colpita direttamente dal dolore che non viene filtrato dalle malattie o assimilato dal cuore...quasi sempre lavora su se stessa con maggiore intensità.

"Physical or moral pain - which is better? While both of these types of pains make us feel terrible, they can also be an invitation to improve ourselves. But it is more important to consider our spirit.
Some times it's true, physical sofferings make us feel miserable; they poison our soul and progressively suck out all our energy.
So, if we are lacking interior strength and our spirit doesn't react, physical suffering is worse.
But when we are directly hit by interior sufferings which are not connected to physical illness nor is the heart able to control them..... our soul almost always suffers much more.
