Nino Salvaneschi nacque a Pavia il 3 dicembre del 1886. Fu giornalista e scrittore.
Durante la prima guerra mondiale si arruolò in marina. Alla fine del conflitto raccolse alcuni scritti nel libro " Uccidiamo la Guerra".
In seguito fu colpito da una grave malattia, con un susseguirsi di degenze ospedaliere. Questa lunga parentesi forzata gli servì per trovare un equilibrio religioso: la sua inquietudine si dibatteva tra Gesù e Buddha.
Il libro " L'Imitazione di Cristo" fu la lettura più utile della sua vita e lo avviò verso la completa devozione alla chiesa cattolica.
Lavorò per alcuni anni come giornalista in Belgio, tornò poi in Italia nel 1923 a causa di una cecità permanente e totale. Colpito nel fisico ma non nello spirito, continuò a raccogliere i suoi scritti in oltre 30 libri.
Nino Salvaneschi was born in Pavia on 3 December 1886. He was a journalist and writer. During the First World War he enrolled in the navy. At the end of the war, he collected some of his writings in a book named, "Uccidiamo la Guerra" (Let's kill the war).
Later he was hit by a serious illness and frequently he had to be hospitalized. This long forced period enabled him to find a spiritual balance in his life. He had a tormented debate between Jesus and Buddha.
The "The Imitation of Christ," was the instrumental book in his life as it brought him to the faith of the Catholic Church.
He also worked as a journalist for some years in Beligium. He returned to Italy in 1923 because he had become completely blind. Hit physically, but not spiritually, he continued collecting his writings into more than 30 books.
