Ed ora desidero riportare quanto scritto da un famoso scrittore: Nino Salvaneschi in un suo libro, Saper Soffrire (ed.Dall'Oglio- Milano) ora purtroppo introvabile.
"Fratello che hai paura di soffrire, non temere. Nella grande irrealtà che chiamiamo vita, unica realtà é il dolore. Noi siamo vivi solo quando soffriamo. Noi siamo forti proprio perché soffriamo. E tu forse ancora non sai quale preziosa fortuna sia nascosta in quella che gli uomini chiamano sventura. Lascia che t'abbracci. Noi siamo stati scelti per cantare nella tempesta. E dobbiamo essere degni di questo nostro destino."
And now I would like to share what a famous writer wrote. His is Nino Salvaneschi. In one of his books, Saper Soffrire (Knowing How To Suffer), published by Dall'Oglio, Milan, but now, unfortunately, out-of-print.
"Brothers and sisters, you who are afraid of suffering - don't fear. In the great unreality which we call life, there is only one reality and that is: pain. We are alive only when we suffer. We are strong just because we suffer. And perhaps you still don't know what a great treasure is hidden in that word which humans call, misfortune. Come close and let me put my arm around you, as I tell you: We were chosen to sing in the storm. And we must be worthy of this, our destiny.
